BirdBriefs
"Boxer briefs for the guy on the fly."
RETIRED · CIRCA 2016What it was
Before the agents, before the jewelry, there was underwear. BirdBriefs was a direct-to-consumer subscription platform with one job: make sure a busy guy never has to think about buying boxer briefs again. Fresh pairs (95% cotton, 5% spandex) showed up at your doorstep every quarter, automatically.
It was a real, working platform — member accounts with registration and sign-in, recurring quarterly subscription billing, plan management (the onboarding flow was called "How to Fly"), gift subscriptions, and a blog. Built and flown solo.
The flight plans

What the platform did
- Quarterly subscription commerce with tiered plans and per-pair pricing
- Member accounts — register, sign in, manage your flight plan
- Gift subscriptions ("Give a Gift")
- Content marketing via an on-site blog and the @BirdBriefs Twitter account
- Every call to action was "Take Flight" — commitment to the bit, always
Where it landed
BirdBriefs has been retired, and the birdbriefs.com domain has since flown on to new owners. The site lives on in the Internet Archive — step into the November 2016 time capsule.
The bird, however, never landed: BirdBriefs → ZachtheBird → BusyBird. Same wings, new cargo.
